Behind the Designs

I continue to merge my 45 years of experience in marketing & design, designing for a diverse range of clients including real estate professionals, startups, small businesses, and those seeking custom surface pattern designs. 

With a busy lifestyle balancing career, family, and friends, I treasure my downtime, enjoying a good cup of English tea with a slice of pie or baking homemade cookies and eating them while they’re still warm. Playing piano is my go to, where I play the oldies, classicals, Beatles from A-Z, and beyond, as in color theory, the note, black & white reflect tones & visions that resonate with purpose.

A good book and journaling, while surrounded by my dogs, grounds me. That is why I design journals & planners to help others enjoy life, as I do!  My passion for the great outdoors, gardening, and working in the yard in my bare feet (shhh... my secret to gardening success!) fills my soul. 

With over 35 years in real estate management & directorial roles, I bring a unique blend of strategic insight & creative vision. I specialize in developing purposeful surface patterns that are both visually distinctive & commercially relevant, designed to connect with audiences and elevate brands. My journey has been far from conventional.  

I studied Architecture, Marketing, & Design at the University of London, England. It granted me an appreciation for structure, visual communication, & the intersection of history & innovation. Immersed in Europe’s rich artistic heritage. I explored traditional & modern British, European, & international art forms. 

One of my favorite teachers in London taught me a completely different outlook on photography and journalism, a skill set that enhances my voice as a digital content writer.  

My formal design foundation was shaped at the Center for Creative Studies Art College of Design in Detroit, Michigan - a global leader in art & design education. 

There, I learned to blend traditional techniques with modern strategy, complemented by my color theory studies.  

I’ve earned professional designations in content writing, digital marketing, SEO, branding, CRM, & strategic growth, along with AI technology certificates that provide insight into the future of design and business.   

In the corporate space, I’ve held leadership & directorial roles with respected names including Marriott, Hilton Hotels, Costco, & Amazon product divisions, gaining valuable insight into how businesses operate, promoted, & strategically positioned in the marketplace. 

In real estate, I’ve held operations, management, & directorial roles in residential, commercial, REIT, REO, relocation, & property management, driving performance & revenue while achieving recognition through awards & accreditations.      

I’ve helped clients reimagine their homes, businesses, & investment properties by combining practical solutions with a designer’s eye for aesthetics & infrastructure.   

My design portfolio spans a wide range of art & digital mediums. From fine art, children’s books and album covers to globally sold surface pattern designs. I was honored to be published in a leading housewares magazine for my original concepts, collections that inspired home entertaining lines & curated color palettes for brands such as Summer House, Brown Jordan, & Tropitone.

My whimsical, 2D, & detailed sportswear designs have reached major retailers & boutique niche markets globally.
